White Retractable Camping String Lights

These white retractable camping string lights give a calm line of light along the awning, then reel back into a compact housing. The 10 m string lives inside a unit that also serves as a lantern, work light and torch.

A steady white glow along the awning

Pull the string out along the awning rail or between two trees, pick one of eight modes and leave it running. The listing gives up to 14 hours of runtime, with a 3 to 4 hour recharge over USB. When you pack up, the reel takes the string back in without knots.

Inside is a 3000mAh power bank for phones and head torches. The whole unit weighs 0.2 kg and is described as weatherproof. Let the string dry before winding it away so the reel stays clean. For something brighter and more colourful, see the multicolour version.
