The Kidde 5CO is a battery-operated carbon monoxide alarm with a 10-year sensor life. It needs no wiring, which suits a van where you run a gas cooker, a heater or an engine close to where you sleep.
Simple carbon monoxide cover for the van
The 5CO runs on AA batteries, so you can fit it anywhere the manufacturer's siting guidance allows. Green and red LED indicators show its status at a glance. The test/reset button lets you check it as part of your weekly routine, and an end-of-life warning tells you when the sensor needs replacing after its 10-year life.
Check Kidde's vehicle suitability and siting instructions before you mount it. If you also want smoke detection, the Kidde 10SCO covers both in one unit.
