The Subcold Euro30 is a 28 litre electric cool box that runs on 12V in the vehicle or 240V mains. Active electric cooling means you do not need ice packs, which suits day trips and campsite stays where you have a socket.

Cold drinks without the ice run

Inside there is room for up to 45 cans, and the upright shape takes bottles standing up. Plug it into the 12V socket while you drive, then switch to the mains inlet on hook-up. Two rocker switches on the panel select cold or eco mode. The insulated body helps hold the temperature for a while when it is unplugged.

It has a carry handle for loading in and out of the van. Give it space around the vented lid so it can shed heat. If you also want a cool box with no power at all, our 10L ice chest takes ice packs.
